Rail Powering Growth – Dholera-Bhavnagar Corridor Gets the Green Signal

In August 2025, the Gujarat government approved the much-awaited Dholera-Bhavnagar
Freight Rail Corridor, further strengthening Dholera’s position as a multi-modal industrial
powerhouse. This dedicated freight corridor will link Dholera’s Special Investment Region (SIR)
with Bhavnagar Port, offering direct logistics support to manufacturers and exporters.
With approval now in place, construction tenders and groundwork are expected to roll out in Q4
2025. Once operational, this line will significantly cut freight transit time, lower logistics costs,
and improve overall supply chain efficiency for industries in the region.
This rail corridor is more than just infrastructure it is a signal of the government’s intent to make
Dholera a true economic engine. Projects like Aum Antarim, with plotted development designed
for industrial and residential flexibility, stand to benefit greatly from proximity to freight corridors.
Whether it’s warehousing, logistics or light manufacturing, this connectivity upgrade unlocks
serious potential.
