Skyward Ambitions – Dholera International Airport on Track for December 2025
By Aum Realties•

Scheduled for completion by December 2025, the airport is progressing on time with no
reported delays or extensions. This large-scale infrastructure venture is being developed under
a joint partnership between the Airports Authority of India (AAI), the Government of Gujarat, and
the National Industrial Corridor Development and Implementation Trust (NICDIT). Phase 1 of
the airport will feature a 3,200-metre Code-4E runway, a modular passenger terminal, and the
capacity to handle 1.5 million passengers annually
What makes this greenfield airport in Dholera particularly strategic is its dual function,
supporting both passenger and cargo operations. The cargo terminal is slated to begin
operations by October 2025, placing Dholera on the map as a critical logistics hub. This
multimodal access will streamline the movement of goods, reduce dependency on nearby ports
and airports, and attract export-driven businesses to the Dholera Special Investment Region
(Dholera SIR).
For infrastructure-focused investors and businesses eyeing long-term growth, the airport serves
as a catalyst for value appreciation in the region. Real estate around Dholera is witnessing
increasing traction, particularly plotted developments and mixed-use zones that will benefit from
proximity to a globally connected transport node. As Dholera SIR evolves into a smart industrial
and residential ecosystem, the presence of an international airport boosts its viability for
domestic migration, global business, and institutional investment alike

As India pushes for decentralised development and next-gen urban planning, Dholera
International Airport is more than a transportation project. It is a cornerstone in the foundation of
India’s next economic frontier.
